Made New Arts received the 2018 “Diversity and Inclusion Award.” The award, given by the Florida Division of Cultural Affairs, has afforded the program the opportunity to purchase new art supplies for children in the foster community. Made New Arts, created and run by fine artist and IFAF board member Hilary White, provides art classes to children in foster care and juvenile detention facilities as an outlet for their emotions and experiences.
“We received funds to buy new supplies for the kids in our foster community to continue exploring art as a form of communication giving them back the opportunity to dream and learn a new form of expression. We love our kids!” -@madenewarts on Instagram
Made New Arts is accepting donations on an on-going basis through GoFundMe and the program’s Amazon Wishlist where supplies can be donated.
